In this day and age Computer Security Programs are some of the most important things a user can have on his or her computer.

It is vital for your own safety and privacy and peace of mind that you have some form of security software installed.

At the very least you should have the following programs installed
ANTI-VIRUS - FIREWALL - ANTI-SPYWARE - ANTI-TROJAN

I have selected FREEWARE programs but you could, if you wished, pay for upgraded versions of these or other programs. I have found that the freeware versions do all that I require of them.
Some programs update automatically some do not. If there is an auto update facility USE IT, if not, do so manually. Ask for advice if in doubt
Remember that there is a lot more, freeware and paid for versions of software available. Some folks prefer to have one program that does the lot, but it is my opinion that this type of program causes more problems than they are worth. If you decide to uninstall them at a later date you could cause yourself a lot of problems. With individual programs if you decide to uninstall it and use something else then it is usually a cleaner process. Do you ever wonder what exactly a virus or a trojan or a worm is?
